Euronext Paris is the Paris stock exchange, where shares trade in euros. For shareholder perks, the way you hold those shares can matter: buying through a broker does not necessarily put your name on the company register.

Our coverage includes the following companies with current perks.
Dealing considerations
Check which Euronext market your broker offers
Euronext operates the Paris regulated market alongside Growth and Access, which have lighter listing requirements. The regulated market groups companies into compartments A, B and C by market value. Broker access can vary between these markets and segments, so confirm the particular listing before dealing.
Choose a holding form the issuer accepts
French shares can be held through a bank or broker in bearer form (au porteur), registered in your name but administered by a broker (au nominatif administré), or registered directly with the issuer’s registrar (au nominatif pur). Registered holdings let the issuer identify and contact you. If the perk requires registration, check whether your broker can arrange it.
Some purchases attract French transaction tax
Financial transaction tax applies to purchases of shares that are admitted to a regulated market and issued by French-registered companies whose market value exceeded EUR 1 billion on 1 December of the previous year. The rate rose from 0.3% to 0.4% on 1 April 2025 and applies to the purchase price excluding brokerage. The investment firm handling the order is liable for the tax and may pass it on to you; AJ Bell, for example, adds such charges to your contract note. Some broker pages still quote the old 0.3% rate.
Check how a CDI holding is registered
Some UK brokers offer overseas shares through CREST Depository Interests (CDIs), which represent an underlying interest in an overseas security. Ask your broker whose name the shares are registered in before relying on a perk that requires registration.
Allow time for settlement and registration
Euronext trades settle two business days after dealing, known as T+2. The EU plans to shorten this to one business day from 11 October 2027. When working back from a perk’s qualifying date, allow for settlement and any registration the issuer requires.
Brokers and charges
Compare the dealing terms below for selected brokers. Before buying, check the issuer’s eligibility rules and ask your broker what help it provides with the claim.
