Air Liquide supplies gases, technologies and services for industry and healthcare.
What you get
Air Liquide adds 10% to the dividend and to free-share attributions for qualifying registered shares. This is an uplift to those distributions, not a 10% investment return. Bearer shares do not earn the bonus.
What it takes
The published terms do not state a minimum shareholding.
Minimum holding period: More than two full calendar years, followed by the relevant distribution date.
Qualifying shares: Air Liquide shares held in direct or intermediary registered form.
Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. Read about the risks.
Holding through a broker
Claiming through a nominee depends on the broker’s support.
Shares must be registered in your own name.
Air Liquide says shares held with a financial institution must be converted to intermediary registered form to earn the bonus. Ask your broker whether it provides that service and what it charges; the issuer page does not establish a route through any particular broker.
How to claim
The shares must appear in the registered holding form with the required seniority. The bonus is automatic once the conditions are met; no separate bonus application is needed.
- 1. Check your holding formIf you hold shares through a bank or broker, ask whether they are bearer or intermediary registered shares. Air Liquide says you must request conversion of bearer shares; your financial institution may charge a fee. Direct registered shares are held with Air Liquide.
- 2. Allow two full calendar yearsAir Liquide’s calendar shows registered shares bought in 2026 being held through 2027 and 2028, with the first bonus in 2029 under the current rules. “Two calendar years” can therefore mean waiting longer than two years from a purchase.
- 3. Keep the shares until the distributionKeep the qualifying shares through the dividend payment date or until the day before the free-share attribution. Air Liquide applies the bonus automatically when the conditions are met.
Dates
The published terms do not say when the benefit expires.
- Qualifying date
- Keep the qualifying registered shares through the dividend payment date, or until the day before a free-share attribution.
- Issuer’s timing advice
- For shares bought in 2026 to first qualify in 2029, Air Liquide says bank-held shares must be converted before 29 December 2026. Direct purchase orders must be executed by 29 December 2026.
Practical notes
The ordinary distribution and the bonus differ
The latest free-share attribution took place on 10 June 2026: one free share for every ten held. All holding forms received that ordinary attribution; only qualifying registered shares received the loyalty uplift. Fractional free-share rights are paid in cash; a small holding may receive cash rather than a whole additional share. A future free-share attribution is not guaranteed.
The articles limit the bonus
The June 2026 articles cap the shares eligible for the uplift at 0.5% of the company’s capital for each shareholder. They condition the dividend uplift on the ordinary dividend being at least the previous year’s amount, adjusted for specified capital changes. An extraordinary general meeting can change or remove the bonus. The uplifted per-share dividend is rounded down to the nearest cent when necessary.
Contests are a separate question
Air Liquide also invites shareholders who subscribe to its communications to enter contests, including one for the Night Fountains Show at Versailles. Entry is not a guaranteed prize. The benefits page supplies no contest rules, so it does not establish current eligibility or a claimable ticket.
Company story
Air Liquide’s gases have a role beyond factories and hospitals. In a 2020 account of its partnership with the Night Fountains Show at Versailles, the company described supplying fluids for special effects in the gardens. The partnership began in 2007.
