What you get

Swatch Group posts a special AGM watch to shareholders who vote online at the AGM or through the independent proxy. It ships to Swiss addresses only.

The design changes from year to year. The 2025 watch was a retro design with a removable miniature-watch pin; the 2026 watch carried the motto “WE, YOU, TOGETHER”. You cannot pick a watch from the shops.

What it takes

You need to hold shares in the company.

Qualifying shares: Registered shares (UHRN, ISIN CH0012255144) or bearer shares (UHR, ISIN CH0012255151). Both have a voting route.

Vote at the AGM or through the independent proxy, and have a Swiss delivery address. Holding shares without voting does not qualify.

Holding through a broker

Claiming through a nominee depends on the broker’s support.

Ask your bank or broker which voting route it can arrange. Registered shares must be entered with voting rights in Swatch Group’s share register. For bearer shares, your bank issues a blocking declaration confirming the shares cannot be sold or transferred until the day after the meeting. Send it to Swatch Group, c/o Nimbus AG, for your voting access.

These are the issuer’s routes. We have not tested whether any broker can complete them. Do not assume a broker’s ordinary voting service also gets you the gift.

Previous claim process

  1. 1. Arrange voting accessHave your registered shares entered with voting rights before the cutoff. For bearer shares, ask your bank for a blocking declaration and send it to Swatch Group, c/o Nimbus AG, before the deadline.
  2. 2. Vote or appoint the independent proxyInstruct the independent proxy through ShApp or the written form, or vote online during the AGM. Once you instruct the proxy electronically, you cannot also attend online.
  3. 3. Receive the watchSwatch posts the watch to your Swiss delivery address after the meeting. Check the address before you vote.

Registered holders find their ShApp login details on their instruction form. Bearer holders receive theirs after submitting the bank blocking declaration, and must give their name and domicile to vote.

Practical notes

Delivery stops at the Swiss border

The invitation asks for a Swiss delivery address, not Swiss residence. It does not say how someone abroad can give another address. Ask Swatch before relying on a friend’s address or a forwarding service.

Use the voting dates

The dividend deadline is separate. For the gift, follow the register cutoff, bank paperwork and voting deadlines in the AGM invitation.

The next meeting may work differently

Swatch’s chair said a physical meeting could be considered for 2027. The next invitation will set the voting and delivery rules.

No published cash value

Swatch does not price the gift. Collector listings and resale prices do not show what the next watch will be worth.

History of the perk

The chair’s speeches record changing watch designs and the move from collection at the meeting to postal delivery, not when the gift began.

  1. A watch for the virtual AGM

    The chair presented a watch with the motto “WE, YOU, TOGETHER”. The invitation kept Swiss postal delivery for shareholders who voted or instructed the independent proxy.

  2. A retro design with a pin

    The strap carried a miniature watch that could be removed and worn as a pin.

  3. Postal delivery replaced collection

    Swatch posted the watch to Swiss addresses after the meeting, so attendees and shareholders represented by the independent proxy received it at the same time. The chair also mentioned a shareholder discount on Swatches that year. That does not mean a shopping discount exists today.

  4. A shareholder anniversary edition

    For Swatch’s thirtieth anniversary, the chair described a special “Est. 1983” watch made for shareholders.
