Carrefour runs hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores.
Who can join the club
The club is free to join. Its rules admit individual shareholders from France or abroad who hold at least one registered share or at least 100 bearer shares. These are club membership rules, not a threshold for a shopping discount.
A former PASS card offer
Carrefour’s November 2017 shareholder letter invited club members to ask for the annual fee on Carrefour’s PASS credit and loyalty card to be waived. The public club rules still refer to a preferential Carrefour Banque offer, but give no price or current terms. The old letter does not show that the fee waiver remains available.
What to ask Carrefour
Ask the club at club@actionnaires.carrefour.com for the current terms of any consumer offer before relying on share ownership for a discount. The published information and meetings do not establish one.
Company story
Carrefour opened France’s first hypermarket at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois in 1963. Seven years later, it listed on the Paris stock market to fund its growth. Its own timeline calls that listing a first for the retail sector.
