ANA Holdings

Domestic shareholder fare, Simple domestic fare discount

What shareholders get Approx. 50% off base fares

Compare the shareholder fare with other fares for the same flight; half the base fare need not be the lowest price.

Plus 1 other benefit

ANA Holdings is the listed parent of All Nippon Airways, which flies domestic and international routes. The flight perks below cover domestic services, including ANA-numbered flights operated by partners such as Air Do and StarFlyer.

What you get

This page covers ANA’s two domestic-flight discounts: approximately half its designated base fare, or 5% off the Simple economy fare. Compare the actual booking prices. ANA also offers other group discounts, including tours, hotels and shopping. Its English page limits half-price coupon mailings to shareholders with a registered address in Japan; the Japanese guidance does not confirm an overseas delivery route.

Domestic shareholder fare

ANA’s traditional shareholder voucher discounts its designated domestic base fare by approximately half. A holding of 100–199 common shares earns one benefit number at each annual record date. The table below gives the new allocation from March 2027, the next record date for a new holder. Each count applies at both annual record dates. New holders receive the ordinary count; the long-term bonus requires at least 300 shares continuously across seven consecutive registers.

ANA domestic shareholder fare

Approximately 50% off ANA’s designated domestic base fare. One benefit number covers one passenger and one one-way sector.

Simple domestic fare discount

ANA gives shareholders a separate code for 5% off its domestic Simple economy fare. One code covers the whole booking, up to nine people and four sectors. Simple is a fare that does not allow reservation changes.

What it takes

You need at least 100 ANA Holdings common shares (code 9202). Ownership date: ANA counts your holding separately on 31 March and 30 September each year. Buy by the last trading day with entitlement, two business days before the record date.

Domestic shareholder fare

Minimum holding period: No minimum period for the ordinary allocation. The long-term bonus requires at least 300 common shares held continuously for three years, under the same shareholder number on seven consecutive March and September registers.

How the long-term bonus works

From March 2027, ANA adds numbers for holders who have owned at least 300 common shares continuously for three years, under the same shareholder number on seven consecutive March and September registers including the qualifying date. The table lists this bonus separately. A holder first qualifying in March 2027 must wait until the seventh consecutive register for the bonus.

September 2026 holders receive the old counts

The November 2026 mailing uses the previous allocation: one number for 100–199 shares, two for 200–299, and three for 300–399. At 400–999 shares, it gives four plus one per complete 200 above 400; at 1,000–99,999, seven plus one per complete 400 above 1,000; from 100,000, 254 plus one per complete 800 above 100,000. Those counts do not apply to a new buyer qualifying in March 2027.

Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. Read about the risks.

Holding through a broker

Shares must be registered in your own name.

ANA uses its shareholder register and issues access details to qualifying holders. Its public guidance does not confirm an overseas pooled-nominee route. Ask your broker whether you receive the shareholder number and benefit documents; we have not tested its service.

Practical notes

Domestic shareholder fare

The voucher can travel without you

Family and friends can use the benefit number. ANA allows use during holiday peaks when shareholder-fare seats remain available; a voucher does not guarantee a seat.

Keep the original document

ANA does not reissue lost benefit-number documents. For a booking with several passengers or sectors, the numbers must cover the same validity period; otherwise make separate bookings.

Simple domestic fare discount

Cancellation normally uses up the code

A cancelled or refunded Simple booking leaves its code used. ANA can reissue a code after disruption such as bad weather or an aircraft fault, provided you remain eligible to use the shareholder website.

Company story

The name began with helicopters

ANA began in December 1952 as Japan Helicopter & Aeroplane Transports Co., Ltd., founded to rebuild Japan’s scheduled air services after the war. The company became All Nippon Airways in December 1957.

It kept that name until 2013, when the listed company became ANA Holdings and adopted a holding-company structure. The airline continues under the All Nippon Airways name.
