Star Seeds

QUO cards for continuing shareholders

What shareholders get ¥30,000

In principle, holders must live in Japan.

500 shares or more

Star Seeds owns clothing businesses including TORNADO MART, a menswear brand, and METHOD, a casualwear brand, alongside battery-storage and AI-server operations in Japan.

Offer announcedThe first award uses the February 2027 register, with an earlier ownership checkpoint on 30 November 2026.

What you get

Each qualifying record date brings three original-design QUO cards worth ¥10,000 each. Qualifying at both annual dates gives ¥60,000 in cards altogether.

What a QUO card buys

A QUO card is a gift card used at participating shops in Japan, including convenience stores, bookshops and drugstores. QUO’s directory lists Seven-Eleven and Lawson among the chains; some shops are excluded. Check the participating-store list before relying on it at a particular shop.

What it takes

You need at least 500 Star Seeds shares recorded in the issuer’s shareholder register on 28 February 2027.

Minimum holding period: Normally six months under the same shareholder number at two consecutive February/August month-end registers, with at least 500 shares at each. The first award uses the shorter test below.

In principle, you must live in Japan to qualify.

The first checkpoint comes in November

Holding 500 shares only at the end of February is not enough for the first award. The same shareholder number must also show the holding on 30 November 2026. Japanese stock trades settle two business days after the trade date, so buying on that record date is too late. Confirm the last eligible trading day with your broker.

Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. Read about the risks.

Holding through a broker

Shares must be registered in your own name.

The issuer requires the same shareholder number in its register. It does not publish a separate route for overseas pooled nominees; a broker’s ability to buy the shares does not establish eligibility.

History of the perk

  1. A recurring scheme replaces a one-off approach

Star Seeds announced the recurring QUO-card scheme. Its earlier benefit had been a one-year issue of group-store coupons for the August 2024 register.

Company story

A reason to keep the same number

Star Seeds said it wanted to build a base of individual shareholders who understood its businesses and supported them over the longer term. Its announcement described those holders as the group’s fans.
