You need to hold shares in the company.

Qualifying shares: registered shares.

Jungfraubahn gives no minimum share count for this offer.

Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. This page is not investment advice. Read about the risks.

Holding through a broker

Nominee holdings do not qualify.

Shares must be registered in your own name.

Ask your bank or broker whether it can register the shares in your own name, how long that takes and what it costs. We have not tested a broker’s registration or claim service.

Shareholders Club rail discounts

Jungfraubahn traces the club to a decision by its board and management in 2009.

  1. The club begins

The board and management decided to create a club for shareholders holding at least 250 shares.

Annual shareholder offer

Past offers have taken shareholders to different parts of the railway network. Each year’s offer sets its own price and terms.

  1. A CHF 5 Harder trip

The 2017 annual report announced a trip on the Harder railway for CHF 5 in 2018.

  2. A free trip to Kleine Scheidegg

Jungfraubahn offered shareholders a free trip from either Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg.

  3. Grindelwald–First and the Cliff Walk bar

Shareholders received a discounted return journey between Grindelwald and First, with a meal at the Cliff Walk bar.
