Hilton Worldwide runs and franchises hotels, including Hilton, DoubleTree and Hampton. Conrad Hilton bought his first hotel in Cisco, Texas, in 1919.

What we found

Hilton’s investor FAQ, its 2025 stockholder information and its 2025 annual report describe no hotel discount or other consumer benefit for shareholders. Hilton Hotels Corporation’s 2002 and 2005 Forms 10-K describe none either.

Hilton Group’s former UK shareholder card

The former UK Hilton Group offered a shareholder hotel card. It sold its hotels in 2006 and continued as Ladbrokes; its sale announcement set 31 December 2006 as the end of shareholder benefits.

Hilton Honors is a customer programme

Adults can join Hilton Honors without owning shares. Its terms exclude companies, associations and groups.

Same ticker, different company

The old Hilton Hotels Corporation also traded in New York as HLT. Blackstone bought it for $47.50 a share in cash on 24 October 2007, and its shares stopped trading that day. Hilton Worldwide Holdings began selling shares under HLT in December 2013. Its prospectus listed the former Hilton Hotels Corporation as a subsidiary.
