Shareholder access to the 2026 offer.
Shareholders with an offer brochure3M is the Minnesota company behind Scotch tape and Post-it Notes.
What you get
3M shareholders can buy a holiday gift box through its 2026 programme. Online orders start with the promo code printed in the offer brochure.
The programme’s purchase agreement, hosted at apfco.com, restricts purchases to 3M shareholders. The public pages give neither the price nor the contents, so you need the offer details to judge whether the box is worth buying.
What it takes
The sources checked do not state a minimum shareholding.
Before buyingA perk is a minor benefit of owning a share, not a reason to buy one. Share prices fall as well as rise, and dealing costs, spreads and tax can exceed a perk’s value. Read about the risks.
Holding through a broker
3M’s public gift-box documents do not say whether shares held through a broker qualify or how those holders can obtain the brochure. Ask the gift-box team before relying on access. Separately, ask your broker whether it can supply any ownership evidence the team requests.
How to claim
The online portal asks for a brochure code. The public documents describe no separate ownership check.
- 1. Find the offer brochureUse the promo code from your brochure to enter the portal. If you have no brochure, ask the gift-box team whether you qualify and how to obtain one; the public page gives no application procedure.
- 2. Check the box before payingRead the current price and contents in your offer. The purchase agreement says the box price includes sales tax and standard shipping and handling. It also allows the contents to vary and lets 3M limit quantities or decline a sale.
- 3. Choose online or postal orderingThe FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard and Discover for online orders. It also allows you to mail the order form you received with a personal cheque. Online card payments are taken when you order.

Practical notes
Allow time for delivery
The FAQ advises allowing three to four weeks for UPS Ground delivery within the contiguous United States, and more time for Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico. It mentions no delivery route to other countries.
Orders placed within the contiguous US before 1 December are likely to arrive by Christmas, according to 3M.
Personal use and returns
The purchase agreement says boxes are for the shareholder’s own use or consumption and prohibits resale or commercial transfer. The FAQ also refers to recipient addresses in orders.
For online purchases, the agreement allows returns by traceable mail at the buyer’s expense. The refund goes to the card used for payment after 3M receives the return. It gives no return terms for postal cheque orders.
From sandpaper to everyday stationery
3M began in Two Harbors, Minnesota, in 1902 as the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. Its founders wanted corundum for sandpaper. Their mine produced anorthosite instead, and sales were weak. The company later made sandpaper with abrasives bought elsewhere.
In 1925, laboratory assistant Richard Drew noticed car painters struggling to mask bodywork while he was testing abrasive samples. His masking tape began the Scotch line. Clear cellophane tape followed in 1930, and Post-it Notes launched in 1980.

The brochure code already controlled entry
An order page archived in November 2024 welcomes shareholders and asks for the code from the offer brochure. It gives no price or contents.

An earlier holiday box
A page archived in January 2011 says the 3M Holiday Gift Box Offer ended on 31 December 2010. The notice confirms a 2010 offer, but does not show what that box cost or contained. We could not find the launch year or confirm that a box was offered every year.
